PhD in Design | PUC-Rio (2018)

Designer, researcher and assistant professor at the Visual Communication Design Undergraduate Course and at the Graduate Program in Design of the School of Fine Arts, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA-UFRJ). Coordinator of LabCrit - Laboratory of Critical Productions in Design. She holds a Master's and a PhD in Design from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio (2013 and 2018, CAPES funding), and a Bachelor in Graphic Design from the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPEL (2008). During her PhD, she was a visiting researcher at the Department of German Studies at Brown University (2015, PUC-Rio - Brown University funding), and at the Department of History of Art + Visual Culture at the Rhode Island School of Design - RISD (2017-2018, PDSE-CAPES funding). Also, during her PhD, she was selected for the 2016 ICSI Summer Seminar at the Institute for Critical Social Inquiry of The New School for Social Research. She has experience in Digital and Graphic Design projects for national and international clients as a freelancer and as a designer at Conrad Caine GmbH (2009-2013) and Nodo (2013-2014). She is interested in the areas of Social Critique of Design, Image, Design Methodologies, Digital Technologies, Design Theory, Digital Labour.
