Based on Semiotics, with an emphasis on the pragmatic philosophy of the American Charles Sanders Peirce, the Laboratory Design and Processes of Meaning aims to analyze the design process in the conception and transmission of messages, whether in the creation stage, whether in the production stage, or in the use stage. From these analyses, it seeks to understand how the designers' choices, whether conscious or unconscious, generate practical consequences in life, since design products begin to share our public space, serving as mediators for men. It will be able to perceive how the use, once it passes through the social, physiological and psychological filters of the consumers, can change the preconceived meanings of these products.
